Another Clark County Sheriff’s Chief has endorsed Chuck Atkins for Sheriff

October 8, 2014

As I reported earlier, I recently received the endorsement of Chief Criminal Deputy Mike Evans. I’m very happy to share now that I have also received the endorsement of the Chief Corrections Deputy, Ric Bishop.

Chief Bishop oversees the Corrections Branch and is responsible for all jail operations including current reforms that are underway to better meet the needs of mentally ill inmates. Chief Bishop is a recognized expert in the field of corrections and assessing the standards of correctional facilities. Chief Bishop is a long-term employee of the sheriff’s office and I’m very honored to know that he has placed his trust and confidence in me as the most qualified candidate for Clark County Sheriff.

From Chief Bishop:

“As a public safety employee of 30 years, working my way up to management positions and appointments, I have studied both candidates for Clark County Sheriff. My experience working with public safety leaders at the local, state and national levels, leads me to the conclusion that Chuck Atkins is the best choice for Sheriff of Clark County. Chuck has the internal and external relationships, experience and vision to lead the Clark County Sheriff’s Office into the next chapter of pubic safety and community service.

Please join me in supporting Chuck Atkins for Sheriff.”
